As an IKEA supplier, we are committed to complying with a code of conduct

The IWAY standard is the IKEA Code of Ethics, which covers IKEA's minimum requirements for the environment, social conditions and working conditions. Its eight main conventions are set out in the Basic Principles of Labour Law, the ILO Declaration of June 1998 and the ten Principles of the UN Global Program of 2000.

For our company, it is crucial for employees to be aware that the requirements of the Standard apply to each of us.

Environmental protection

  • We prevent severe pollution of the environment;
  • We strive to reduce energy consumption and other environmental impacts;
  • We store, transport and use chemicals safely;
  • We segregate waste and transfer it for disposal
 

Social conditions and occupational safety

  • We strive to ensure working conditions consistent with the requirements of health and safety;
  • We care about the rights of employees;
  • We do not tolerate discrimination based on race, gender, age, nationality, etc.

Sourcing raw materials

  • Raw materials used in production are obtained from well-managed forests (they have FSC certificate);
  • We do not use raw materials of unknown origin and require subcontractors to comply with the minimum requirements for forest management.

The activities we initiate in the field of health and safety are aimed at such objectives as:

  • improving safety at workplaces and in technological processes,
  • accident reduction,
  • identifying and minimising risks,
  • promote appropriate employee behaviour.

We engage employees in matters related to OSH through actions that give them confidence that their voice is heard and that good ideas are implemented in life. We educate through all kinds of training and educational talks. We train practical skills.

Exemplary Employee of the Health and Safety Service of the Lower Silesia Province

On 12.12.2023 at the District Labour Inspectorate in Wrocław, our employee, Ms Iwona Hamera - Chief Specialist for Health and Safety at Work, Fire Protection Inspector, participated in the Gala summarising preventive and promotional activities, where she received a prestigious award in the competition for the title of exemplary employee of the Health and Safety Service - Lower Silesia Province.
