Plant History

1946
A private plant founded by Wacław Maliszewski is established in Cieplice (currently the Jelenia Góra district).

1950
The privately owned factory has been transformed into the ZORKA People's and Artistic Industry Cooperative, producing regional souvenirs, small woodwork, and toys, mainly wooden blocks.

1970
With the development of toy production came the dynamic growth of the Cooperative, which allowed the machinery stock to be modernised and labour productivity to increase.

1975
Exporting products to England, Germany, France, the USA, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria and Yugoslavia began.

1978
The opening of a new production facility in Cieplice.

1980
The Cooperative started cooperation with IKEA, which continues to this day.

2002
Manufacturing started in a new plant in Sobieszów, Jelenia Góra district. Production in this facility ended in 2020.

2004
The ZORKA Cooperative was transformed into ZORKA Limited Liability Company.

2011
The opening of a new production facility with an area of 11,000 m².

2014
An extension of the production hall by a further 8,000 m², including a high-bay warehouse with an area of 2,400 m²
